A Brief Overview of Väkälangat
Thread lift treatment is based on two mechanisms. On the one hand, the threads mechanically lift the skin. On the other hand, the threads stimulate the skin’s fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin. Facial features are gently lifted. The skin becomes firmer and more elastic than before.
Barbed sutures, also known as cog sutures, are sutures made of polydioxanone (PDO) that feature small barbs.
The suture threads are placed inside the tissue using a cannula needle. The small barbs grip the tissue. As surgeon the thread and gently pulls it upward, the tissue is lifted along with it.
Tendinitis treatment is performed under local anesthesia. The procedure doesn't hurt, but it's not exactly a pampering treatment either.
The treatment takes about an hour. Common side effects include swelling, bruising, and mild pain, tightness, and soreness.
Thread lift treatment is sometimes referred to as a “non-surgical facelift.” The procedure is effective. However, it’s important to remember that thread lift treatment is not designed to remove excess tissue.

After the consultation and planning, we proceed with the procedure. The skin in the treatment area is cleaned and numbed before the threads are inserted.
The sutures are inserted into the tissue using a needle or cannula. The sensations experienced during the procedure are most often described as pressure, tightness, or a pulling sensation.
After the procedure
After the laser treatment, the skin is cleaned and the treated area is checked. There are often small marks left on the skin, but these fade quite quickly.
Swelling, redness, and tenderness almost always occur in the treated area. Bruising, a feeling of tightness, and initial unevenness are also possible. All of the above side effects are normal. They typically last from a few days to about two weeks.
Unless the swelling bothers you, you can resume at least some of your normal daily routines after the procedure. You should avoid touching the treated area, strenuous exercise, alcohol, and saunas for at least the first 24 hours.
All aftercare instructions are reviewed verbally during the appointment. The client also receives written aftercare instructions.
When will the results of the laser treatment be visible?
The effects of tension band surgery are partially visible immediately after the procedure, as the tissue has been mechanically repositioned.
